It’s been quite a while since Marvel vs. Capcom 3 came out on PS3 and Xbox 360. While Marvel vs. Capcom 4 won’t be out anytime soon, Marvel is aware that fans have been clamoring for it.

Polygon interviewed Marvel Games vice president Jay Ong. The site asked him about the likelihood of another Marvel vs. Capcom game being made and his answer wasn’t a straight no.

He said: “There’s nothing we can say at this time. Let’s just say that we hear that a lot. We love our fans and we certainly want to please them. Beyond that we can’t say anything at this time. But who knows what the future holds?”

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 initially came out in 2011 and was met with critical acclaim. It may not have had a big roster like the second game, but it had names such as Deadpool, Rocket Raccoon and others before they became Box Office stars many years later.

It’s great to see that Marvel is back on board making AAA video games again. For the past few years, they had only concentrated on mobile video games. With Spider-Man PS4 announced at E3 2016, there will be more Marvel games on the way. Hopefully Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is one of them.
