Developer Mane6 has teased a brand new character for its popular indie 2D fighting game, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, as part of the game’s Season 1 Pass. The first character to join Them’s Fightin’ Herds Season 1 Pass will be a large bull-named Texas, who was revealed during the Mane6 presentation at Summer Jam 2022.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds Texas and Season 1 Pass Features

Mane6 first announced the Them’s Fightin’ Herds Season 1 Pass at the same time it confirmed that the game would be coming to consoles back in May of this year. The pass was confirmed to bring a total of four new characters to the game between now and 2023, and Texas is the first character in that lineup.

According to the roadmap, another character can be expected in 2022, while the rest will arrive sometime in 2023. The debut trailer for Texas shows that he is a gigantic bull who uses his size and strength to his advantage during battle. He is also notable for being the game’s first male character, as the other 7 are all female.

He will be voiced by Patrick Seitz, an American voice actor who is known for many riles across anime and video games, including Endeavor in My Hero Academia, Franky in One Piece, Scorpion in Mortal Kombat: Legends, and more.

The Season 1 Pass will also include new stages and cosmetics and will be included in the Deluxe Edition or as a separate digital upgrade for $40 and $20, respectively, and is expected to drop sometime this fall with the release of Texas. However, the character has no confirmed release date at this time.

All that is known is a statement from Mane6 claiming that Texas will be “ready for launch not long after the release of console ports.”

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is expected to launch on consoles, including PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, on October 18, 2022.
