There are good developments in regards of The Witcher Netflix TV series, as the showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich finally revealed the team of writers which is going to work on all the eight episodes in the first season of the show.

“I can’t imagine a better day,” she said on Twitter, sharing a photo of the entire team together for the first time. “The Witcher writers’ room opened today, and it was full of ideas and banter and cupcakes and creativity and darkness and champagne and this hilarious picture that’s better than any of the posed group selfies I attempted. It’s happening.”

So, who are the guys penning the show? Well, surprisingly, there are a lot of very experienced writers behind The Witcher now, many coming from Marvel previous efforts popped up on Netflix.

Jessica Jones’ Jenny Klein has officially been brought on board as well as Sneha Koorse (Constantine, Daredevil), Clare Higgins (The Worst Witch), and Declan de Barra (Funky Fables, The Originals).

As it was already stated, the first season will feature eight 1-hour long episodes, covering the first two books in Sapkowki’s series: Sword of Destiny and The Last Wish. The man himself will offer his supervision, while CD Projekt RED hasn’t been involved at all.
