A while ago, we were talking about how praised The Witcher 3’s next-gen update was. Some people even rate it a lot higher than God of War: Ragnarok, a game that came out this year, versus one that launched a long ago. Still, it is happening. Well, for some platforms, at least. It would seem that when the next-gen update launched for The Witcher 3, there were a lot of issues on PC. Frame drops, crashes, and horrible glitches with ray tracing. However, today’s a nice day for fans of the white-haired monster hunter. An update has rolled out for the game, which fixes some of the biggest problems.

The latest update for The Witcher 3 on PC fixes issues like crashes, stability, and overall performance

The update rolled for two platforms, Steam and GOG. Players who enter the title today will be prompted with downloading the new patch. The size will vary depending on your platform, but it won’t be more than 3GBs. The official Twitter account claims that this patch focuses on fixes for stability, performance, and overlays. Yet, some players are still in discomfort due to this forced update on the game.

We’ve just released a hotfix for The Witcher 3 on PC, which should improve the overall stability and performance, and fix GOG & Steam overlays. The game version won’t change.

How to Get Henry Cavill’s Armor in The Witcher 3

Some users have gone to great lengths to find a way to reverse The Witcher 3’s next-gen update due to the many PC issues it brought. However, it would seem that CD Projekt Red is keeping this version. While some people are enjoying it on consoles, PC users don’t seem that happy. Some even claim that the improvements aren’t that noteworthy to deem these changes necessary. Still, it is nice to see the developers tending to their games. Cyberpunk 2077 got fixed, most of it, and a DLC is on the way. Now, if they did it for that game that launched in a horrible state with terrible reviews, we’re sure they can fix this good old RPG. You can download the new update today on Steam and GOG.
