The Walking Dead spinoff series that is likely coming to television sets next year finally has a working title. AMC has also let a few details slip on the plot.

The third installment of the series is being called, Monument and will reportedly be kicked off by a plane crash. In fact, rumors are the series opener is set to be very familiar for fans of the television series Lost.

Beyond that, the new series is said to be showing the first generation of people born after the Zombie apocalypse went down. Details beyond those are few and far between but do set the stage a bit.

Earlier rumors, shortly after this new The Walking Dead spinoff was announced said it could take place in China. A plane crash would certainly make sense as a set-piece if the showrunners want to have a diverse cast. Strangers in a strange land who are also trying to deal with zombies could be interesting viewing as well.

This The Walking Dead spinoff is the second with Fear the Walking Dead having launched a few years ago. That installment in the franchise was supposed to show viewers what the world was like just as the zombie hordes started popping up. As the series has gone on, it’s been more about seeing a different setting for the survivors.

As the series that started it all is set to enter its 10th season, there is also a movie in the works. The film centers around Rick Grimes but there aren’t a ton of details known about the plot of flick beyond that. There are reports of plans for two more films later on down the road.

All three movies were originally expected to be feature-length television shows and the recent decision to take them to cinemas surprised some fans.
