It’s a terrible day in Racoon City and Mr. X is a horrible goose.
Mr. X is perhaps one of the most iconic things about Resident Evil 2 and thanks to a new mod for the remake, he just got a whole lot scarier. Alister, the creator who added Thomas the Tank Engine to the game, released a new mod featuring the tyrant as the goose from Untitled Goose Game and it’s absolutely incredible.

A short clip on social media showcases the honking feathered fowl in its winged glory. The clip features the goose shoving away the remains of the wrecked out helicopter in the police station. Claire can be seen staring in horror and perhaps even awe as the goose emerges from behind the wreckage. The creature is even sporting the familiar and stylish fedora Mr. X wears as he prowls throughout the old museum. Might I add, the goose pulls off the look quite well.
And yes hes keeping the Fedora because he is just so Fancy like that.
First reported by Destructoid, Alister said the footage seen in the video is nowhere near complete. However, they promised there is more to come when the final version releases. Whereas Mr. X’s heavy footfalls can be heard stomping around over creaking stairs, players will be able to hear the untitled goose as it honks its way throughout the map.
As is such, the mod is not available for download just yet and there is no mention of a release date.
Resident Evil 2 is available for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One and released on January 25, 2019.
