The WWE Super ShowDown was packed full of intense fights and shocking moments. But perhaps one of the most fan-favorite moments was The Undertaker’s surprise appearance. Closing in on the end of a tumultuous six-man gauntlet match, this may not be the last we see of the wrestling icon.

This match was for the Tuwaiq Trophy. The elimination was set up to start with two wrestlers in the ring, and the loser would leave while the winner would face the next in a six-man lineup. It began with R-Truth beating Bobby Lashley. Lashley struck out in anger afterward, severely injuring R-Truth. But the wrestler still managed to be victorious over Andrade and then Erick Rowan. But the next in was AJ Styles, who proceeded to tease and mock R-Truth’s pain before forcing him to tap out.

The next WWE superstar was supposed to be Rey Mysterio, but a camera backstage revealed Styles’ allies, The OC, beating Rey up to prevent him from fighting. Believing he won, AJ Styles demanded the trophy. And that’s when the reveal happened.

The backstage camera showed The OC thrown to the ground and black boots and a trenchcoat walking past. As AJ Styles began to yell at the referee, smoke slowly filled the arena. And then the signature gong sounded. The audience, of course, went wild.

This was, perhaps, a response to AJ Styles claiming himself to be the new Mr. WrestleMania and that he is better than any wrestler before him. Styles held his ground in the ring, but the Undertaker defeated him in one move without even removing his hat or coat. Then he left the ring and arena with a mere acknowledgment of the Tuwaiq Trophy.

Fans are now wondering if The Undertaker will make an appearance at WrestleMania36. For now, the only confirmed matches are NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley vs. WWE’s Charlotte Flair, and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre.
