The Umbrella Academy Season 3 is officially coming back to Netflix with much anticipation! Season 3 details have been scarce, but the official title for the premiere sets up a peculiar meetup.

The final scene of season 2 left us on a humongous cliffhanger. After time-traveling back to the present, things have changed. Instead of simply arriving home to how they left it, they are greeted by their once-deceased father and his children in the Sparrow Academy. Among his children is their dead brother and former member of the Umbrella Academy, Ben. It appears as if the timeline has changed completely this time. How will they fix it this time?

In season 3, the arrival of the Sparrow Academy will likely be central to the plot. And if you weren’t convinced how important they are, maybe the title of the premiere, “Meet the Family,” will make you think otherwise. Showrunner Steve Blackman revealed the premiere title on his Instagram and confirmed by the official Netflix Twitter account:

Hey #TheUmbrellaAcademy fans, @SteveBlackmanTV has something he wants to show you… pic.twitter.com/JRACwRWCd3

The image also confirms that the premiere will be co-written by Blackman and consulting producer Michelle Lovretta.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 does not have a release date yet. However, production is set to commence in February. Watch this space. In the meantime, both seasons one and two are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
