It’s hard to believe that The Sims 4 came out back in 2014, it’s even harder to believe that there are still people on this earth who have never heard of the franchise. Just in case you have been living under a rock, The Sims is a simulation game that sees you create a character and control their life while watching how it plays out. It’s kind of like real life, but with a lot more control, and much more fun.

To celebrate the new year in style, EA and Maxis are releasing a downloadable pack that would have been absolutely perfect for Halloween. Missed opportunities aside, The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff pack will release on PC Origin, Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 26 for the price of $9.99.

Take a look at the trailer for yourselves:

Like I said, perfect for Halloween. If the time of year doesn’t put you off then The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff pack will have plenty to keep you entertained. New for this pack is the ability to create haunted houses that come with their own mischief-making poltergeists.

Sims are able to take part in a seance in order to summon Guidry the Ghost who will advise you how to live comfortably in a haunted house occupied by all manner of spooky things. You will also be able to speak with the dead and cleanse your home of unwanted spirits. Unless of course, you want them to run amok in the house just to see what happens. There’s also the option to summon a skeletal maid named Bonehilda if you want a little extra help around the house.

Finally, you can master a new Medium skill and earn their Paranormal Investigator license. Not only will this impress Guidry, but it will let Sims help other characters who are less inclined to the paranormal world.

Believe it or not, this is the 18th stuff pack available for The Sims 4, the overall cost for everything must be staggering by this point, but as long as you’re having fun, who cares? Be sure to let us know if you plan to pick up The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff later in the month, and we’re always keen to hear your best stories from the franchise.
