The Quarry is the latest interactive cinematic adventure title from Supermassive Games, the developer behind Until Dawn and Dark Pictures Anthology. As with the developer’s other games, here you have to guide a group of people to uncover a dark mystery and lead them towards safety — or their doom. To help you navigate the twists and turns in the story, The Quarry features Tarot Cards, which will show you visions of the near future after you complete a Chapter. This article will help you find each Tarot Card’s location in The Quarry, letting you reveal the visions and collect the Decked Out Achievement.

Do note that even if the writer has tried to cut out the significant bits, this guide will still contain spoilers.

The Fool

  • Prologue
  • Character: Laura

How to Get:

After giving the toolbox to Max, Laura will explore the woods and investigate the mysterious person. Laura then will climb down to a pit. At this point, take the narrow left path until the camera zooms in. You should be able to see the Fool Card.

Card’s Vision Explanation:

In Chapter 2, Jacob will mess with the van. If Jacob broke the fuel line instead of the rotor arm, the van would catch fire when Mr. Hackett tried to start it. This option does not change the outcome of the story.

Temperance

  • Chapter 1 – Hackett’s Quarry Forever!
  • Character: Jacob

After arriving at the Lodge, go to the kitchen through the main door. The camera will change, and you should be able to see the location of The Quarry’s Temperance Tarot Card on the stove behind a pot.

In Chapter 2, Emma can pick some fireworks to be used at the bonfire and fend off some enemies later. Go back to the storage room to get them and ask that Jacob open it. Look for a code hidden in the room. When found, Emma will enter the code and grab the fireworks once you return to the counter. This option does not change the outcome of the story.

The Hanged Man

  • Chapter 2 – Truth or Dare
  • Character: Nick

Choose the Rocky Road option when you have to go with Abigail. Follow the road but stick to the left side and don’t walk on the right; at some point, you should see the Hanged Man Tarot Card on the rocks above Nick.

In Chapter 3, Jacob ends up dangling from a tree. There’s nothing you can do to prevent this, but the following sequence will impact the outcome of the story instead.

The Star

  • Chapter 3 – Trouble In Paradise
  • Character: Jacob

After Emma and Jacob finish talking and you take control of the former, walk away from the dock and keep an eye for a stack of canoes. As you go closer, the camera angle shifts, and you’ll see The Quarry’s The Star Tarot Card location on the wooden post.

In Chapter 4, an alone Emma will stumble upon the Treehouse. When you head inside, search the bags first instead of opening the trapdoor to obtain a bear spray and a taser. Then open the trapdoor. This option can change the outcome of the story.

The Tower

  • Chapter 3 – Trouble In Paradise
  • Character: Abigail

Abigail will start hearing scary whispers, “They took everything away from me,” when she goes into the woods. After a cutscene, keep to the right side of the road until the camera shifts, and you come across a tree. The Tower Tarot Card should be on one of the trunks; stop and take the card before it vanishes.

In Chapter 4, Emma will be running for her life at some point and see a zipline. Do the QTE correctly to make sure the terrible vision doesn’t happen. This option can change the outcome of the story.

Strength

  • Chapter 4 – Don’t Panic
  • Character: Dylan

It’s easy to miss the location of The Quarry’s Strength Card — blink, and you’ll miss it. Be ready when you take control of Dylan from Emma as the group takes Nick inside the Lodge. The card will appear for a brief second near a table leg once you enter, and it will vanish if you aren’t quick enough.

At the start of Chapter 5, Abby, Nick, and Kaitlyn will hear an intruder. Nick can come to the rescue if you choose to run instead of hiding, and the intruder spots you.

The Magician

  • Chapter 4 – Don’t Panic
  • Character: Emma

When taking control of Emma on The Island, go down the stairs leading to the dock. The camera will pan as you get closer to the edge and find the card on one of the dock’s poles.

In Chapter 5, Dylan’s hand is badly hurt. As Ryan, you can amputate it (using a shotgun or a chainsaw, which is pretty metal) or not. This option can change the outcome of the story.

The Devil

  • Chapter 5 – White Noise
  • Character: Dylan

When you start patrolling the Camp Cabins with Ryan and Dylan, squeeze through the tree’s swing to find The Devil Tarot Card at the picnic tables.

In Chapter 6, something terrible will befall Nick in the poolhouse. As Abigail, you can try shooting a gun instead of doing nothing. This option can change the outcome of the story.

The Hermit

As Dylan, when you reach the Radio Hut, do not talk to Ryan or enter the building. Instead, go to the left side of the building and squeeze between the pole and the wall to find the location of The Quarry’s Hermit Tarot Card.

This time Jacob will be caught in a dangerous place during Chapter 6. All you need to do is successfully do the QTEs and “pull free” of the predicament. This option can change the outcome of the story.

Justice

  • Chapter 6 – Prayers By Night
  • Character: Jacob

After descending the stairs from the boardwalk trail at the beginning of the chapter, turn left. The camera will change perspective, and you can find the location of The Quarry’s Justice Tarot Card just behind a wooden beam that’s part of the bridge.

In Chapter 7, Laura ends up accidentally shooting someone. Again, correctly do the QTEs to prevent the visions from coming true. This option can change the outcome of the story.

The Moon

  • Chapter 6 – Prayers By Night
  • Character: Abigail

Go down the corridor to the shower stalls. Enter the middle shower, the camera will pan down, and you should see The Moon Tarot Card on the doorframe.

In Chapter 7, Laura can use a syringe on someone. You can find the syringe in one of the rooms upstairs.

The Chariot

  • Chapter 7 – The Past Behind Us
  • Character: Laura

As soon as you take control of Laura to explore the police station, go through the middle of the tables with seats turned upside down. The camera will pan as you move between the desks, and you’ll see the location of The Quarry’s The Chariot Tarot Card on a beam.

Dylan and Kaitlyn open the van in Chapter 8. Depending on your actions, you might see someone there.

The World

As you explore the cell, go near the jail door until the camera pans. You should be able to see the location of The Quarry’s The World Tarot Card hidden under the bunk bed.

Ryan falls into the Quarry (dun-dun-dunnn, a title drop) while Laura looks on in Chapter 8. A different scene might happen if you did something, but I’m unsure how to trigger the same scene as the vision.

The Empress

  • Chapter 8 – The Belly Of The Beast
  • Character: Ryan

Once you leave the Quarry’s caves, Ryan will end up in the Hackett House’s basement. Take a left turn and go inside the room left of the barrels. As you approach a nearby chair near the doorway, the camera will pan, and the Empress Card will appear.

Something will kill someone during Chapter 9. However, the scene could change depending on if the person is still alive before you reach Chapter 9 or not. Then use the gun to change the outcome of the story.

The Lovers

  • Chapter 8 – The Belly Of The Beast
  • Character: Laura

After Ryan and Laura end up in the Quarry Mines, proceed up the stairwell until a cutscene is triggered and the catwalk railings collapse. Walk down the corridor until you find a tiny area to the left. Head there, and when the camera pans up, it will show you The Lovers Tarot Card.

In Chapter 9, Laura can be seen biting Ryan’s arm. It’s your choice to follow what the vision shows you or not. This option can change the outcome of the story.

Wheel of Fortune

Continue walking through the Quarry Mine, and you’ll stumble upon a small tunnel with a single lantern inside. Walk past the lantern to reveal the Wheel of Fortune Tarot Card location on the wall.

Something will kill someone during Chapter 9. However, the scene could change if you stabbed the person earlier in the game. Then use the gun to change the outcome of the story.

The Emperor

As you enter the Hackett Basement, continue on the path past the wooden barrels. You’ll come upon The Emperor Tarot Card when you get close to the end.

Death

  • Chapter 9 – The Matriarch
  • Character: Dylan

Before interacting with any clues in the area after meeting Constance, walk toward the center of the room to the birdcage. You should be able to see the Death Tarot Card on top of the wardrobe.

To be added.

The Sun

  • Chapter 9 – The Matriarch
  • Character: Laura

Head upstairs and follow the left path across the balcony until you enter an empty room. As you walk near one of the windows, the camera will pan to show you The Sun Tarot Card just outside of the window.

Judgment

After you press a green button to open the gate in the Scrapyard, enter and turn left. Head through a passageway made out of buses, then climb up the staircase that will lead you on top of shipping containers. Keep walking until you find the exact location of The Quarry’s Judgement Tarot Card.

The Hierophant

  • Chapter 9 – The Matriarch
  • Character: Abigail

“My poor boy. Do you see what they did to us? How they hurt us? He’s out there still. All alone. Each full moon they hunt him, armed with silver. Trying to put an end to a curse they inflicted upon themselves when they set my show ablaze six years ago. Stupid children. But little Silas. My little white wolf. He must be protected. Do you understand? Remember how I’ve helped you all this time.”

When exploring the Storm Shelter, walk down the corridor and turn right at the first corner to find The Hierophant Tarot Card.

Taking The Hierophant Tarot Card will force you to watch a special cutscene that reveals the juicy backstory of The Quarry, but you can’t ask Eliza for readings of the other cards.

The High Priestess

  • Chapter 10 – Bricks and Mortar
  • Character: Kaitlyn

“Eliza was killed in the fire that broke out at her traveling show six years ago. Her ghost roams the woods of Hackett’s Quarry ever since, and she’s been determined to get revenge on the Hackett family for what they did to her. Her tarot cards, once lost in the blaze, have allowed her to guide you through the night… though her motives may not have been as transparent as first thought.”

As you explore the Lodge, go upstairs, then turn left. Go to the third floor, and as you get closer to the window, the camera will shift to the attic’s roof, revealing the High Priestess Card.

None since it’s in the last chapter of the game.
