With Daredevil coming back through Disney+, many people have been wondering and asking if The Punisher would return as well, considering his “counterpart” is now. Quite honestly, this question of “will Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher return?” has been answered, but today we will dive in more on this topic. Jon Bernthal is widely known for his roles as Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead. Soon after that role, he took on the role of Frank Castle, who first appeared in Daredevil season 2, before getting his own show as a Netflix original, Marvel’s The Punisher. Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher Will Join The MCU In Phase 5.

Daredevil Is Returning…Will Marvel’s The Punisher Join Him?

The sad part of this story is Netflix canceled all of The Defenders shows, including The Punisher and Daredevil, along with any other Marvel series. This was due to Disney having different plans with the franchise and soon moving them all to Disney+. In the meantime, Jon Bernthal has played other roles in movies like King Richard, The Many Saints of Newark, and series like We Own This City and American Gigolo. Bernthal has also started his own podcast called Real Ones, where he has a different guest every week.

Charlie Cox, Berthnal’s co-star from Daredevil, just recently jumped into the MCU by having a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, even more recently, having been in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law for multiple appearances. Charlie Cox’s character, Matt Murdock, will also be having a cameo in Echo, a Hawkeye spin-off, before returning completely in his own series once again, Daredevil: Born Again, which will be arriving on Disney+ in 2024.
