The Owl House Season 3: When It Will Air and What to Expect
The Owl House season will officially air on October 15, 2022, approximately nearly 5 months following the conclusion of season 2, which ended with the airing of King’s Tide on May 28, 2022. It was revealed that due to the series being canceled by a Disney executive for not fitting the company’s “brand”, season 3 of the popular animated series was cut short.
As a result, season 3 will instead consist of three forty-four-minute specials, the equivalent of about six episodes, the first of which will air on the aforementioned date of October 15, 2022. The second and third specials are confirmed to air in 2023, though an official date for each has not been confirmed.
It is possible that they will not air simultaneously in 2023 and will be spaced apart, but that is pure speculation and no confirmation exist at this time. A trailer for the season has not been revealed at this time either, but since it is airing only about a month from the time of writing this, we will likely see one relatively soon.
Despite its cancellation, The Owl House has remained one of the most consistently trending Disney animated series since its debut in 2019 and has seen great success on Disney+. Season 3 will pick up immediately where the previous season left off, and see Luz and her friends back in the human world attempting to find a way back to the Boiling Isles to stop The Collector, unaware that a piece of the Emperor Belos still looms in wait.
