Electronic Arts are switching to a new PC program called “EA” to replace its outdated game launcher Origin. The company said that compared to Origin, the EA app is quicker, more dependable, and provides a more simplified gaming experience. EA also claims the EA app would enhance players’ experiences with all EA games.

How to Download The New EA App on PC

The EA app was previously in the open beta stage and is now available. The PC platform Origin, which EA debuted more than ten years ago, will be replaced by the new game launcher. In addition, the EA app will be “the best possible place” to experience EA’s games, services, and content since it is “faster, more dependable, and more streamlined” than Origin.

EA says that all local and cloud saves, achievements, and in-game stats will carry over so that users can pick up where they left off. In addition, you can use the app to download games and updates automatically by linking your EA account to other platforms and services like Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Additionally, each user will have a unique and personalized ID. Once logged in to the app, users can see what and when friends are playing, enabling them to join in and play together.

Your current Origin friend list should migrate over without any issues as well. You may switch to the EA app safely and keep the games you downloaded through Origin. When you have everything working, they should automatically display on the EA app. EA will be inviting those still using Origin to make a move soon.

On the other hand, the EA app is now available for Windows PCs. Origin for Mac will still be where games may be downloaded for macOS users. For more information, please check out the official EA app site.
