It seems the Marvel Universe is still alive and kicking on the Fortnite island. Thanos was recently brought back to the game with his own Tournament and purchasable skin in the Item Shop on June 26, 2021. Now, the God of Trickery is making his debut into the game. Loki is the featured outfit for the July’s Fortnite Crew!
Despite Loki’s nature, this is not an elaborate trick. The information was confirmed by the Official Fortnite Twitter account in the Tweet shown below.
To some avid fans of Loki and Fortnite, this is hardly a surprise. In one of the loading screens given to subscribers of the Fortnite Crew pack for June, we saw a character in the background that looked suspiciously like Loki, although the horns were facing the opposite direction than we normally see them. However, to most of us, this is exciting news since we now get to play as one of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One thing we’ve learned from this: the developers at Fortnite know very far ahead of time what characters will be introduced into the game and when. The powers that be (not a reference to Loki, unfortunately) only let us see what they want us to see!
The Fortnite Crew for July is expected to drop between June 29 - June 30, 2021.
