The long, long wait is over for a story in a galaxy far, far away. The Mandalorian is an iconic show that helped jettison the Star Wars Disney+ TV field into popularity. That said, the last season premiered almost two years ago. Production for season 3 has been underway for a while now. The last season held many adventures for the Mando and young Grogu, so the third season has been highly anticipated. Finally, it seems that the wait will be over soon. As of today, The Mandalorian has officially finished filming season 3 of their Disney+ series.

The Life of a Mandalorian Is Long and Arduous

The life of a Mandalorian isn’t an easy one, to say the least. Raised as warriors from Mandalore, many act as Bounty Hunters throughout the events of all Star Wars movies. Notable ones (besides the Mando himself) are Jango and Boba Fett. As The Mandalorian progressed through its last season, we ran into many different returning characters. Boba Fett was one of them, as were some other Mandalorians such as Bo-Katan. And beside them, we saw the return of Ahsoka Tano, the villainous character Moff Gideon, and even Luke Skywalker. It turns out, little Grogu is a Jedi-in-training.

So, what does season 3 of The Mandalorian hold for Disney+ viewers? It’s hard to say at the moment. Our Mando friend completed his mission, and Grogu has gone off to train. However, it seems there’s plenty to work with. The Mando has attained the Darksaber, a relic passed down throughout Star Wars and Mandalorian history. And it seems a surprise character actor will appear as well. With the main mission wrapped up, it looks like more new characters and arcs are to come. No matter how it turns out, the wrap-up of filming for season 3 of The Mandalorian is good news. It’ll surely be another great ride with Favreau and Filoni at the helm.
