NIS America has announced that The Lost Child will be released in North America and Europe in 2018 for PS4 and PSVita. The game is an RPG dungeon crawler in style of the Persona/Shin Megami Tensei series, and is set in the same universe of the acclaimed El Shaddai. This new game opts to take the approach of a turn-based RPG, with 50+ entities to capture and use in battle.

The company has also presented the limited edition of the PS4 version, featuring the soundtrack of the game and a hardcover artbook, all presented in a collector’s box. On the other hand, the PSVita version will only launch digitally.

Along with the announcement, NIS America has also released an official synopsis of the game: “Occult journalist, Hayato Ibuki, encounters a strange girl during his investigations into a series of mysterious suicides in Tokyo. She implores that Hayato must live, before bestowing upon him a mystical device that allows him to capture celestial and arcane creatures. He is now thrust into a world beyond our own, home to horrific monsters and celestial beings. In it, he must delve into dungeons called Layers and solve the mystery of the device. Where his journey leads him could decide the fate of the our world…”

The Lost Child launches on spring 2018. Pre-order the limited PS4 edition from the official website. Watch the announcement trailer below.
