The Nintendo Switch is less than a month away from release and with that comes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is releasing for both Switch and Wii U on the same day. For a game that Nintendo dedicated their entire E3 to and has shown off a good bit since, there is still so much that we do not know about the game, but now there is one new piece of info that has been confirmed by a YouTuber that got to try out the game known as Pro Mode for the game’s HUD.

Throughout the countless gameplay sessions at E3 and after, we have gotten a glimpse of the in-game HUD for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Typically, the HUD will display details like the heart meter, mini-map, d-pad, temperature meter, and the sound meter for stealth.

YouTuber Gehab was able to go hands-on with the game at a Nintendo event and before going, someone requested that he check to see if there were any HUD options in the game’s menu. He checked it out and discovered that the game has an option called “HUD Mode,” with the default set to Normal. However, he was able to switch it to what is known as Pro, which cleaned up the screen quite a bit.

By changing to Pro mode, pretty much all of the markers on screen except for the heart meter are removed, giving you a more immersive experience. Not having the map definitely makes exploration harder, but that is something that some people may prefer in their gameplay sessions. He said he was not able to try it out for too long, as the Nintendo representative said he needed to keep it on Normal so that he could experience everything in this demo. Also, he was not sure if there could be additional options in the full release, but just that this version only had Normal and Pro.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be releasing for Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3 alongside the Nintendo Switch launch.
