The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the star of the show at E3 2016 and is one of the most anticipated games of 2017 without question. While we have no set release date for that game quite yet, Dark Horse Books is back again with another Legend of Zelda book that now has a release date.

“The Legend of Zelda™: Art and Artifacts contains over four hundred pages of fully realized illustrations from the entire thirty-year history of The Legend of Zelda™ including artwork from the upcoming The Legend of Zelda™: Breath of the Wild! Every masterwork is printed on high-quality paper in an oversized format so you can immerse yourself in the fine details of each piece. This book includes rare promotional pieces, game box art, instruction booklet illustrations, official character illustrations, sprite art, interviews with the artists, and much, much more! The Legend of Zelda™: Art and Artifacts collects many of your favorite masterpieces from the storied franchise, as well as rare and never before seen content, presented in one handsome hardcover.”

The only odd thing is that the description says the book is over four hundred pages, but the actual listing says it is 304. We do not know which of those is correct at this time, but either one would be more than acceptable in this release.

This comes as a follow-up to Dark Horse Books’ last Zelda release in the US with Hyrule Historia. That was a fantastic bringing of the Japanese version of the US, so I have total faith that they will use the same level of care in this release as well.
