Nintendo has revealed that a new Nintendo Direct presentation dedicated to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U will occur next Tuesday, December 15th at 2pm Pacific Time. This will be the final Nintendo Direct specifically about Super Smash Bros., though the game might pop up in future videos alongside other games. In this presentation, Nintendo promises that series creator Masahiro Sakurai will give details about the upcoming DLC character of Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, and more.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U has had a few of these videos before, usually offering up really great news and information about upcoming DLC, and changes to the game. We’ve had a number of DLC characters offered for Super Smash Bros. so far, so the question is, will Nintendo continue to produce them, or is Cloud going to be the last.
With a Nintendo Direct totally dedicated to Super Smash Bros. it’s pretty safe to assume that they have something big to announce, though the end of DLC support wouldn’t be high on most players’ lists. Hopefully we get some more big surprises, like Cloud’s inclusion in the roster, or even some news on upcoming Amiibo for the game.
Check back for all the info on Tuesday, December 15th at 2pm PT, 5pm ET.
