Naughty Dog has released the best look yet of The Last of Us remake with extensive gameplay. The directors of The Last of Us Part 1 Remake discuss some of the enhancements coming in the PlayStation 5 version of the game in a ten-minute extended gameplay trailer that Sony published on Thursday. Although the game wasn’t awful on the PS3 or PS4, the upgraded graphics in the trailer seem just as great as they do in the leaked pictures. According to Naughty Dog, the AI for enemies and companions will be enhanced, there will be some new gaming options, and the game’s cutscenes will have accessible audio explanations.
AI Improvements in The Last of Us Part 1 Rebuild
The remake can run 4K/30 or 60 FPS, and DualSense features like haptic feedback and trigger effects will support it, according to Naughty Dog. However, the main concern that everyone has is how the gameplay has been improved. Over 60 accessibility options, including audio descriptions for cut sequences, are also promised. For those who want to try their hand at surviving a zombie apocalypse, the remake’s Permadeath mode will reportedly be included. There is also a Speedrunning mode, although the trailer provides very little information about it other than the fact that a timer will be shown in the upper right corner.
The Last of Us Part 1 costs $70, and an animator who worked on The Last of Us Part 1 Remake disputed the notion that it is “just a cash grab” and argued that a lot of thought and care was put into it. While Naughty Dog says there are gameplay changes, it still hasn’t made it apparent what they are from the new gameplay.
More recently, The Last of Us Part 1 rebuilt opening footage and images, and even more in-depth videos of the gunplay and upgrading system leaked online. The leaks, which were first shared on ResetEra and have now been replicated on Imgur, feature Tess, Tommy, Joel’s brother, and a small exception from the game’s opening scene.
