We’ve been reporting about The Last of Us Part II possible 2019 release window multiple times as of now, but those rumors won’t stop dropping every week with more and more details attached to them.
This time around, on top of the ‘simple’ rumor of a 2019 release, we also have a hint at when we’ll get to watch more gameplay coming from Sony and Naughty Dog.
According to a well-known insider who goes by the name Aokiji on the ResetEra forums, new gameplay could happen ahead of E3 2019.
While Sony won’t be at E3 itself, it looks like it will still try and have some presence in time for the event, taking advantage of the buzz on the net among gamers.
“Considering we’re getting an official TLOU2 update before E3,” said the insider, “would be weird if it wasn’t 2019 now, wouldn’t it.”
So, with a single post, the insider is hinting at both a 2019 release date AND an “update,” perhaps on the status of the development on the game.
We read more gameplay coming from around that timeframe so that we could get like a post on PlayStation Blog and a brand new trailer featuring some smart feature from the title and a focus on the story. That’s what fans demand, after all.
