After some time, the remake of The Last of Us, known as The Last of Us Part 1, was released and received some good reviews, unanimously praising its graphics. This is also a good chance for trophy hunters to play the familiar game and add another trophy to their profile. One of the trophies requires players to pet Buckley the Dog, and here is how to do it in The Last of Us Part 1.

How to Pet Buckley the Dog in The Last of Us Part 1

Recently, petting animals like dogs, cats, or foxes have become a popular mechanism that many developers try to implement into their games. The Last of Us series is one of these games and even put a trophy called ‘ Who’s a Good Boy?’ that can be obtained by petting a dog named Buckley, which is named after Troy Baker’s late dog.

Throughout Joel and Elly’s journey, they will reach Wyoming. Here players can obtain many trophies, including Who’s a Good Boy. In the seventh chapter of The Last of Us Part 1, Joel meets his brother, Tommy, and his wife, Maria, where players can explore the peaceful settlement.

Buckley is not the only animal you can pet in the game, actually. You can also interact with the horse, which will lead to small talk between Joel and Ellie. The dog you are looking for is further in the dam.

Tommy will lead Joel to the control room, and along the route, you can collect resources and explore the area as well. After you pass the metal gate, you will be able to see Buckly stationed outside the control room.

This is the only chance you have to pet Buckley since after you go to the control room, the dam will be attacked, and you have to defend it.

The Last of Us Part 1 is now available for PS5 and will be released for PC in the future.
