Naughty Dog definitely got fans excited when they revealed their new work-in-progress to the world last year.  An apocalyptic setting, where two survivors set out against a population that has been decimated by a modern plague, The Last of Us is definitely a game to look forward to on the PS3.

If true, that could be yet another PlayStation 3 exclusive to start budgeting your time for this fall.  It does seems like a perfectly logical spot to release the game. It would stack The Last of Us against Microsoft’s Halo 4 and Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in one of the biggest release weeks ever.   Last year at that time, Naughty Dog was releasing Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception against stiff competition.
