In The Iron Oath, players will have a company of warriors to manage while venturing across the vast lands of Caelum. These warriors will band together as allies and the choices you make will define their journey in the game. Players new to the tactical turn-based RPG genre are wondering how to manage these unique characters with various abilities in The Iron Oath.

Should you skip the Prologue in The Iron Oath?

The prologue is the tutorial in The Iron Oath, and it gives players a comprehensive idea about the game’s mechanics. Players will also get a Valkyrie, Puligist, Stormcaller, and Pyrolancer in their party for playing through the prologue. Each party will consist of four members from the active roster.

You can always hire more characters, but getting a strong starting team can make a huge difference. Fighting in various battles together will also affect a character’s relationship status with other roster members.

How to recruit allies in The Iron Oath

To recruit Allies, simply visit the Inn located in various towns. The first one players will come across is in Andilon, and you can hire a few characters to diversify the roster. You will need to spend coins in order to hire and recruit new Allies from Inns.

Players will have a couple of contract options to present to the warriors, allowing them to stay on the roster for longer. Similarly, you can also check the warrior’s class, age, attributes, and abilities before recruiting them.

How to heal characters in The Iron Oath

It is ideal to check your rosters’ health bar after every battle in The Iron Oath. You can use Small Healing Potions, Bandages, and other consumable items by clicking the first button on the bottom left corner, or by simply pressing I. Players can also purchase Provisions before heading into a Dungeon.

We recommend players heal their characters before the start of any fight to stay at an advantage. If any of the characters are injured, then players can admit them to the Infirmary found in various towns. You can have up to two members from the active roster in the Infirmary.

How to unlock character Abilities in The Iron Oath

Character Abilities are unlocked once you start leveling up in the game. Players will be rewarded with Attribute Points and Ability Points that can be spent to improve a character’s stats. Ability Points are used to upgrade the effects of a character’s abilities, while Attribute Points are used to level up the six Attribute skills.

Use Attribute Points to level up Physique, Finesse, Toughness, Conviction, Insight, and Mind. Similarly, each class of warriors will have six unique abilities, but only four can be equipped at a time. Select the Ability tab ok the character sheet in Management Menu to start spending Ability Points.
