You may remember the somewhat lackluster Halo related interface known as Halo Waypoint in the past. Well, now Microsoft and 343 Industries have introduced a much improved variation known as the Halo Channel during their conference at Gamescom 2014.

This brand new hub that is exclusive to Xbox One and Windows will allow you to do a number of Halo related things, including watching videos, highlights, behind the scenes videos, and so much more. The live action series Halo: Nightfall will also be accessible from within this app, while also coming on disc to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Twitch is also going to be integrated very well to where you can view pro streams and other streams going on in Halo. Points and rewards can also be earned, just like Waypoint, so it will certainly be the ultimate app for Halo fans. The channel itself looks incredibly responsive and slick, so it appears a lot of work has been put into this app.

Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches this November, followed by the beta for Halo 5: Guardians in late December, the Halo Channel should be very useful and a lot of fun to use on the Xbox One especially.
