Everyone remembers all the good old days when arcades had the best games around. Hour after hour, quarter after quarter, those were the days when you would walk away without trophies, achievements, tickets or even money for that matter. The only thing you would end up with is a smile on your face and your initials during the intro video. It’s nice to say that some classics are just as fun as we remember. SEGA decided to let us know that they are bringing back some of the classics so we can relive all those glorious moments while also keeping most of our quarters in our pockets.

Exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, SEGA will be spotlighting its arcade history starting with 3D After Burner II which will be released in early 2015. The second batch of titles will then be released monthly and include titles such as 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D Fantasy Zone II, 3D OutRun and 3D Thunder Blade. Each title will still deliver a full-fledged vintage arcade experience while also recreating the environment down to the mechanical sounds from the arcade machines themselves. They will also add to the original experience with new modes, options, as well as original musical tracks.

All of these titles will be priced at $5.99 and will be available to download in the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS.
