Cory Barlog, the God of War game’s director, has called out a popular fan theory regarding the game and its sequel, God of War Ragnarok. Fans came out to him with several threads hoping to see the Santa Monica Studio developer bind. One of the fans’ theories has been speculations trying to answer an incident in God of War, which the fans think resolves in Ragnarok. However, the game’s director has refuted the rumors regarding this issue.

What’s the God of War Fan Theory?

In the God of War game, there was an incident when somebody blows the horn that summons Jormungandr (the world serpent.) Now the question that has been disturbing and obsessing the God of War community is, “who blew that horn?”

that’s cool.

wrong.

but cool.

It’s oatmeal raisin, though.

The famous narrative suggests that Kratos blows the horn towards the end of theGod of War Ragnarok game. The voice is transported back in time, reaching Midgard and awakening the World Serpent. While fans have decided to believe this probability, Barlog says it’s an awesome story but wrong.

Barlog didn’t go further into answering the dire question of who blows the horn to summon Jormungandr. Although players kept asking the same question, the director replied by saying there was a correct answer. He, however, does not reveal the identity of the person who blew the horn. Instead, he has promised to unveil this secret sometime in the future.

In the meantime, God of War fans are anxious and hoping to get the answer soon. While we now know the surfacing theories are wrong, do you think the developing studio will give the fans the deserving answer?
