Anything else I need to know?

Yes, actually there’s a lot. The Game Awards is set to be a huge event this year. Not just because of the award categories themselves but due to some big reveals that have been confirmed to happen.

Creator of TGA, Geoff Keighley, has announced that there will be over 10 new video game reveals at the awards show. This has set the gaming community on fire with speculation on what exactly could be unveiled on December 6th.

We have such an incredible show coming together for next week. More than 10 new games will be announced for the first time during #TheGameAwards plus updates on existing titles too. We will share some teases in the days to come…. pic.twitter.com/3w17tFIuTA

Last week, rumors began to spread that Rocksteady would announce their next game during the show. That game was reportedly going to be called “Superman: World’s Finest”. Well, those rumors have proven to be false. Rocksteady game director Sefton Hill confirmed via Twitter that the studio would not make an appearance at the awards. He also said their next project did not center around the Man of Steel:

Looking forward to #TheGameAwards this year! We’re still hard at work in our development bunker so don’t expect an announcement from @Rocksteadygames. When it’s ready to show, you’ll be the first to know. Spoiler: it’s not Superman ?

It has also been confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 won’t make a splash this week either. Community Lead for CD Projekt Red Marcin Momot said this via Twitter:

We’re looking forward to seeing all the reveals and announcements during this year’s @thegameawards, however we’re not going to be showing anything there ourselves. We’ll share more details about @cyberpunkgame when we’re ready.
