Amidst all of the new details that have been announced for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim over the recent weeks, one of the most exciting morsels are the details about the overhauls to the gamebryo engine.  It was widely speculated that new technology would be being used in the game and Bethesda has confirmed that indeed a new engine is being used for Skyrim.  With the Gamebryo starting to show it’s age here’s a few of the features to look forward to in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Dynamic Shadows, Vastly Improved Character Models and Faces, and even intricate details such as individual tree branches moving  with the wind, are among the graphic updates that you will notice right off with Elder Scrolls V.  Alongside the graphics upgrades, many other features such as the perspective from which you play the game will see changes as well.  A HUD free  mode, will allow for even more immersion, and third person views which have generally looked tacky in recent Bethesda releases are getting a major overhaul as well.

All of the Elder Scrolls games have been as much about environment as they have been about leveling and questing, and it’s nice to see that Bethesda is taking many of the feedbacks from the fans into consideration when developing Skyrim.
