The Divison 2 released over the weekend to generally positive reviews. After the massive disappoint that was Anthem, the future of the “loot shooter” genre looked in jeopardy. Ubisoft ’s sequel, however, seems to have restored player confidence in the genre itself. As positive as the game’s reception has been this weekend, the game isn’t without its technical issues. There seems to be a gameplay breaking bug that prevents players from using their skills. In a game that focuses on tactical use of the player’s abilities, it’s easy to see why this is a significant issue.

On the official forums for the game, developers have referred to this game breaking bug as gremlin bug, which means that in an attempt to fix another bug within the game, this bug sprung up as a result. Unsurprisingly, a lot of gamers are upset over this frustrating bug. Thankfully, Ubisoft is working on a fix for the bug, but some gamers have already lost their patience for the game.

On the official Ubisoft Forums, Community Developer Chris Gansler wrote:

“This is our highest priority right now and we understand how incredibly frustrating it can be. I died to it yesterday as well, I feel your pain. As pointed out already here in the thread, fixing this issue is something we want to do right to not include more bugs with it. That means it’s taking a bit longer than we want but the dev team is hard at work to fix this. We’re also planning to add other fixes to that patch, which hopefully will have a positive impact for everybody.”
