The Division 2 private beta is now live on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The beta is only accessible for those who pre-ordered the game or were randomly selected after signing up online. Players can explore a post-apocalyptic Washington DC prior to the game’s full release on March 15th.
The beta for The Division 2 comes with two main missions, five side quests, plenty of open-world activity, and one of three new Dark Zones. The beta will also add extra endgame content on February 8th titled the Invaded mission. For the beta, there is a player level cap of 30.
The rollout hasn’t been without issues, which the team behind The Division 2 has acknowledged and updated via their Twitter account. Some issues have included players wrongfully labeled as banned and issues with friend invites.
This game is a sequel to The Division which took place in New York City. The story followed an outbreak of a bio-engineered virus. The creator behind the virus infected dollar bills that circulated during Black Friday. The city fell into chaos and became quarantined. A group of secret sleeper agents, known as The Division, were sent to restore ordered. This sequel takes places in the nation’s capital which is also dealing with the fallout of the virus.
The beta will only last for four days. The PC version will be available on the new Epic Games Store for distribution. Ubisoft’s website can be visited for system requirements. Microsoft also recently announced that there will be two Xbox One bundles that will come packaged with The Division 2. For those that didn’t get access to the beta, the wait for the full game will not be much longer. It is coming to stores March 15th and, like the beta, the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
