The gaming world isn’t a stranger when it comes to throwing seasonal events. Usually, the big ongoing games have an event for almost every season. Final Fantasy 14 is bringing its Starlight Celebration which is basically Christmas. Bungie’s MMO also has its own version of that. The Dawning event for Destiny 2 is coming back this 2022. This event lets players get festive by throwing snowballs at allies and enemies and getting some loot to bake cookies. It is nice to see Destiny 2 adding more content besides the latest Season of the Seraph. The event goes live today and will last the whole month.

Destiny 2’s Dawning Event Runs from December 13, 2022, to January 3, 2023

Destiny 2 has grown a lot since its first days. While the story is a bit of a convoluted mess for new players, this hasn’t stopped people from trying this FPS MMO. A few days ago, Destiny 2 got a new season ahead of the Lightfall expansion release. So, while it is already content to keep players busy, The Dawning event is another way to keep Destiny 2 players hooked until the end of 2022.

How to Complete More than a Weapon Quest in Destiny 2

Besides the holiday fun, there are also some rewards that players can get. Some of the wards include cosmetic items, weapons, and a new legendary pulse rifle too. This is great given how some other multiplayer games tend to handle seasonal events. One example is World of Warcraft. While you get a reward for attending all events in the year, the rewards for each event are lackluster. But, it seems that Bungie is upping their game making sure players get rewarded as they should. The Dawning event in Destiny 2 might be the last event of 2022. But, we are sure that 2023 will come with even more content for players to enjoy in this action-packed MMO.
