Supermassive Games will release the next game from The Dark Pictures Anthology this fall. According to the new story trailer, gamers will dive into the new murder place. The Devil in Me will be released in late 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam.

The Devil In Me Gets the Story Trailer

The building where the murderer confessed to killing dozens of people in 1895 is called the infamous ‘Murder Castle.’ There are doubts about the actual number of victims to this day. Like other Supermassive games, The Devil in Me will feature many virtualized actors, including Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley.

No official release date has been given, though it has been confirmed to release next fall. Also, The Devil In Me will be the fourth standalone title in The Dark Pictures Anthology series. The synopsis shared with the story trailer is as follows:

“The Lonnit Entertainment TV crew receive a pressing and mysterious phone call from a man called Granthem Du’Met, with a promise of a tour around a faithful recreation of the H. H. Holmes murder castle, an idea that the filmmakers and founder Charlie Lonnit believe might just save the show.

Unfortunately, the ill-fated crew finds its host to be a rather disturbed individual, and they are now being observed, isolated, and manipulated ‘like rats in a maze.’ It soon becomes clear that the crew’s check-out is compromised, and they will have to make some impossible choices that they might live to regret or just not live at all.”

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a franchise of horror stories with names such as Man of Medan, Little Hope, and House of Ashes. In addition, it has already been confirmed that at least six more games will be released for The Dark Pictures Anthology. It is worth noting that the new game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
