The CW has set the premiere dates for Superman and Lois, and Gotham Knights. According to Entertainment Weekly, the third season of Superman and Lois and the series premiere of Gotham Knights will take place on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Superman and Lois will premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with Gotham Knights following at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Gotham Knights will be taking over the slot previously filled by Naomi, which after one season, was among the many shows the CW canceled earlier this year. Gotham Knights is the latest entry into the Arrowverse, which presently only includes Superman and Lois and The Flash still running. The latter show is entering its final season.

Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois on Superman and Lois) and Misha Collins (Harvey Dent/Two-Face on Gotham Knights) celebrated the announcement in a video on Tulloch’s Twitter page:

The CW Welcomes New Stars in ‘Gotham Knights’ and ‘Superman and Lois’

The CW is welcoming in some new Arrowverse stars on both shows. Gotham Knights will feature numerous actors, such as Collins, Oscar Morgan, Navia Robinson, Olivia Rose Keegan, Lauren Stamile, and Damon Dayoub. The show will involve the murder of Bruce Wayne/Batman and his adoptive son (Morgan) being framed for his murder.

Superman and Lois will also welcome new cast members. Australian actor Michael Bishop is taking over the role of Superman’s powerless son Jon Kent in the series, a role previously played by Jordan Elsass, who left the role for reasons related to his mental health. Chad L. Coleman is also joining the cast as the villainous Bruno Mannheim.

‘Superman and Lois’ Season Three Plot Revealed

The CW is also sharing the plot for Superman and Lois season three. According to TVLine, the new season “opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston,” according to the official description. “Clark and Lois are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating ‘the secret’ can be, as Chrissy struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough.

Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan discovers what a superhero-identity really means, and Jonathan searches for a purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie. Lana Lang and Kyle redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.”

All of this and more are making Tuesday night seem like a big night on the CW, with Superman and Lois and Gotham Knights premiering on March 14, 2023.
