The Curse of Von Dutch trailer dropped for Hulu and will take viewers on a wild ride in this true crime documentary. Should audience members not be aware of the trend, The Curse of Von Dutch trailer will bring them up to speed. In the early aughts, Von Dutch was a huge trend. Von Dutch also was a clothing line that celebrities clamored for. From trucker hats to jeans, celebrities including Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan could not get enough of the brand.

In the documentary for Hulu, the story appears to be appealing to the nostalgia of the early aughts. The trailer also capitalizes on pop culture’s obsession with darkness. The Curse of Von Dutch seems to be the newest true crime fad for viewers to absorb.

A True Crime Story

The Curse of Von Dutch trailer initially discusses how significant the brand was at the time. Paris Hilton is the biggest name to be interviewed. She expertly explains the context for how big the company was. This ties into the twist at the center of the trailer. “The difficult thing was, one of the co-creators was charged with first-degree murder,” one interviewee says casually. The trailer continues on a wild ride with three separate people claiming the title of the original creator.

Murder was clearly not off the table. However, Von Dutch also appeared to be a money-laundering scheme. The brand had no qualms about working outside of the law. This story appeals to Hollywood’s obsession with crime and glamor. But, the trailer for true crime documentary, The Curse of Von Dutch, does not specify which of the creators was charged with murder.  Like the company itself, The Curse of Von Dutch trailer is deceptive. It pulls you in hoping viewers will come back for all the sordid details. The Curse of Von Dutch will be available to stream on November 18th.
