Shaun Escayg, a long time developer at Naughty Dog has left the studio, he has announced on Twitter. Escayg’s exit happens only months after completing his last big project within the company, as creative director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Escayg had been working for the studio for seven years, getting involved in major PlayStation games like The Last of Us and its DLC Left Behind, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and last summer’s adventure.

Escayg himself shared the new with his Twitter followers via this message: “Seven years ago I joined the talented team at @Naughty_Dog on a project still in its infancy, The Last Of Us. Well, the rest is history. Left Behind, Uncharted 4 were fleeting and Uncharted The Lost Legacy pushed my creative growth even further- I will miss all my dogs.”

This is a second major exit at Naughty Dog in the last few months, after Bruce Starley left the company last September. Starley acted as game director for Uncharted 2, The Last of Us, and Uncharted 4. Perhaps this points to the end of an era for the company, as it moves on from series like Uncharted. Naughty Dog’s current major development project is The Last of Us Part 2 for PS4.
