The Callisto Protocol was released a few days ago and was met with plenty of excitement from the gaming community, except for PC owners. The game received positive reviews in general, but due to the stuttering issues in the PC version, it could not have the desired impact on this platform. Striking Distance Studios even recently kicked out the game’s first update, focusing on performance and optimization issues. But PC owners are still not happy with the updated version of the game. While The Callisto Protocol continues to attract attention to the game market, a fan turned the game into a PS1 Demake.

The Callisto Protocol Turns Into a PS1 Demake

It has always been a matter of curiosity how the AAA titles that have been released recently will look on old consoles. Although its Steam launch was marred by technical issues in the PC version, The Callisto Protocol is also one of these games. Thankfully, a fan turned the clock back a few decades and showed how the survival horror game might look on PS1, which debuted in 1994.

The Callisto Protocol Demake is a recreation of the horror game and shows how it might look and play if it had been released for the PS1. The fan-made game was developed by Stark Crafts and created using Unreal Engine and Blender. Although the game is completely playable, it does not seem like available to download for now. But we still have an 8-minute gameplay video posted by the developer so that we can get an idea.

If you haven’t bought the game’s PC version yet, it would be useful to look at the system requirements before purchasing.
