Pokémon Go has another event returning during the month of June and it’s the Bug Out event for 2020. The event will start on June 26 at 8:00am and goes until July 1 at 10:00pm in your timezone. It’ll be a great way to give June a proper farewell, and for those looking to add any Bug-type Pokémon to your roster.

Initially, developer Niantic did not share too many details about the event from their end-of-the-month blog post, similar to the solstice event for 2020, which goes from June 19 to the 24. However, new details have been shared, and we now have a much better idea of what the Bug Out 2020 event will look like. You can expect to use your incense during it to attract more Bug-type Pokémon to your location.

Bug-type Pokémon will be spawning more frequently during the event, and you can hatch them from 5-kilometer eggs that you obtain during the event window. You can find Scyther, Venipede, Dwebble, and many more showing up. There will also be event-exclusive research tasks available for you to capture stronger Bug-type Pokémon. You may also find some notably powerful Pokémon foes in raids during the event. All trainers will also receive twice the amount of catch experience for Bug-type Pokémon captures.

These are the specific Bug-type Pokémon attracted to incense on particular days:

  • Nincada will be attracted by player’s incense from June 26 at 8:00am to June 27 at 11:59pm, local timeWurmple will be attracted by player’s incense from June 28 at 12:00am to June 29 at 11:59pm, local timeScyther will be attracted by player’s incense from June 30 at 12:00am to July 1 at 10:00pm, local time

All players will also have a chance to capture a Shiny Dwebble as they will be available during the Bug Out 2020 event.

Pinsir will also have an exclusive raid day on June 28 from 11:00am to 2:00pm, in your local time. Pinsir will be available for three-star raids. You will be able to purchase a Remote Raid Pass bundle available the Pokémon Go in-game shop for 1 PokéCoin where you can obtain three Remote Raid Passes.

During the event, players can expect to also see Kricketot on June 30 due to the spotlight event happening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in your timezone. It will only happen for an hour, so if it randomly pops up, you can figure out reasonably quickly why so many Kricketot have come out to play.
