The Punisher and Daredevil have been in a lot of fights and stood off against one another in the comics for as long as they have existed…this even crosses over into the TV series starring Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal. However, this comic book has shown the biggest fight between the two ever. As of late, The Punisher has been undergoing a lot of changes within his character in the comics, like joining the Hand. They have also changed his logo and given him a new name with his new position within the Hand. In the beginning, Frank Castle had seemed against joining their ninja cult…but they roped him in by promising to raise his dead wire from the dead. The Punisher has now inherited some superhuman powers after getting closer to the Hand.

The Punisher vs. Daredevil

Daredevil #6 by Chip Zdarsky and Rafael de Latorre…in this comic, Daredevil wants to take down the Hand, but this also includes the Punisher in his plan as well. At this time, Matt Murdock is believed to be dead in New York City, Hell’s Kitchen, and with this, Daredevil makes a plan to end the Hand for good. During this, he also married Elektra in a ritual that allowed them to both take control over an army called the Fist, an army that will go against the Hand.

What makes this fight between Daredevil and The Punisher even bigger is the fact that they have never gone head-to-head with armies on their sides. It is officially going to be the time that their differences will be butted head-on, not to mention The Punisher now has superhuman powers to use to try and defeat Daredevil and the Fist.

Daredevil #8 is when The Punisher and Daredevil will battle one another…at least, that is what we think we know so far. In this cover, Daredevil is referred to and called “the indomitable human spirit” while he is attacking the Punisher, who is being called “the indifferent cruelty of the universe.” This will be a time in history for the two, and we don’t know how this might change the comics forever.
