Enabling the console commands and using cheats in The Witcher 3 isn’t hard; if you know how to navigate folders and use Notepad, you should be fine. Here’s how:

  • Open your The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt installation folder.
  • Steam users can easily open their Steam app.
  • Right-click The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the Library.
  • Click Manage.
  • Choose Browse Local Files.
  • Open the ‘bin’ folder.
  • Go into the ‘config’ folder.
  • Open the ‘base’ folder.
  • Open the ‘general.ini’ file using Notepad or Notepad++.
  • Add a new line at the very bottom of the ‘general.ini’ document.
  • Type in “DBGConsoleOn=true” without quotation marks.
  • Save and close.
  • Run The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
  • Open the console using the tilde (~), @, #, or F2 keys.
  • Type in the cheats or console commands you want to use!
