Earlier today, Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth announced that game number five is on the way, and they’re returning to their roots! While the brief announcement trailer was vague, it was packed with Behmoth’s colorful, humorous style. Alien Hominid Invasion is the newest project, but… that’s literally all we know.
In their most recent blog post, The Behemoth stated,
At the moment, The Behemoth is keeping fans in the dark about their newest project with the promise that more will be revealed soon enough. Attendees at PAX East 2020 will be some of the first to see what Alien Hominid Invasion is all about, but it will make a second appearance at EGX Rezzed in London afterward.
Alien Hominid Invasion started as a flash browser game back in 2004. After its wicked popularity, the arcade shooter was then released on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Game Boy Advance, iOS, and even the Game Cube. However, The Behemoth has said that this is more than just a remaster of the original game.
The Behemoth is well-known for its games Battleblock Theatre, Pit People, and Castle Crashers. Pit People is the most recent release, but Castle Crashers recently got ported to the Nintendo Switch. There hasn’t been an official announcement as to what consoles Alien Hominid Invasion will be available on.
