Deadline is reporting that with Disney+ celebrating its second anniversary, we finally get a brand new clip for The Beatles: Get Back docuseries. In the clip, which you can watch below, the Fab 4 are feeling their way through the song, “I’ve Got a Feeling.” With Paul, as usual, leading the charge:
The Lord of The Fab Four
For those unaware, Peter Jackson, The Lord of The Rings director, released a documentary by the name of They Shall Not Grow Old where he took very old footage and restored it and colored it to give us a better tactile feel for what soldiers experienced during the First World War. It was a hit, I personally watched it and for someone who does not like historical things of that nature, it really spoke to me as a documentary. With that success, Jackson has decided to move from World War I to arguably the greatest band to have ever existed. Ever.
The Beatles: Get Back docuseries will be using a lot of unused footage that Michael Lindsay-Hogg did not use for his documentary, Let It Be, about John, Paul, Ringo, and Goerge working on their twelfth studio album in 1969, Let It Be. This brand new Beatles clip shows us more of what we will be in store for come November 25, when the docuseries is slated to drop on Disney+.
Just from the trailer that was released recently, we already know about the major ups and stellar downs the band goes through to not only record another album but also perform live after a two-year drought. Jackson sifted through almost 60 hours of unseen footage that was shot over a period of 21 days, to give us a deeper look at how the four boys from Liverpool became the vastly different and jaded artists they ended up becoming.
