Matt Reeves, the director of the upcoming movie The Batman revealed the movie’s logo on Twitter today. The unveiling of The Batman logo came with a tease for more this Saturday during the DC FanDome virtual convention. Artwork by DC’s chief creative officer, Jim Lee, also made it into Reeves’ Tweet. Lee’s art shows a version of Batman as played by Robert Pattinson.

Excited to share the very first look at our official #TheBatman logo, and some very cool additional #DCFanDome artwork by the amazing @jimlee — see more of #TheBatman at the #DCFanDome global event in the Hall of Heroes this Saturday, 8/22! #TheBatman #DCFanDome #ForTheFans pic.twitter.com/ApfngNbyor

DC FanDome this weekend is expected to be where we get our first major look at The Batman. The event is to be hosted by Aisha Tyler, who has been known to host Ubisoft conferences in the past.

What are your thoughts on The Batman logo? The scratch marks throughout certainly seem to depict a level of grittiness we’ve come to expect from Batman movies. The Batman was originally set to release in June 2021, but in April its release date was pushed back alongside numerous other DC movies. The Batman‘s current release date is Oct. 1, 2021.

Earlier this year photos from the set of The Batman revealed Batman’s new suit as well as what the Batcycle will look like this time around. Be sure to check out the post to see the Batcycle falling over while being driven in the rain.
