Season 27 of The Bachelor finally took off, with Zach Shallcross meeting all the contestants during the grand limo arrival. However, barely half of the women made it past the season’s premiere. The 26-year-old commenced his quest to find love on Monday night, remaining open-minded as all his prospects worked their witty, flirtations first impressions on him.
The star, who made it clear he wasn’t” here to mess around” kicked off the show equipped with advice from former bachelor Sean Lowe. The 39-year-old The Bachelor alum, who starred in the 2013 season and has enjoyed 10 years of marital bliss with the season’s winner Catherine Giudici ever since, advised:
He also willingly offered Zach his long-held title as the “most shirtless bachelor.” With that in mind, the tech executive proceeded to welcome the ladies as they exited the limos.
Zach Shallcross Offered The Season’s First Kiss At The Bachelor Season 27 Premiere Episode
The bachelor, Zach Shallcross, joined Jesse Palmer at Bachelor Mansion to meet the women. The first out of the Limo was e-commerce coordinator Jess, who stepped out feeling like a nervous wreck. The 23-year-old admitted she had a million emotions going on as he welcomed her.
Ariel approached him next, explaining to Zach that she missed her flight, broken her suitcase, and ripped her dress. Yet, she determinedly let nothing stop her from making it. Zach couldn’t help but admit how cute she was as she made her way inside. Davia arrived next, offering the star some champagne to sip on, followed by Gabi, who gave him maple syrup from her native Vermont. The 24-year-old sales rep, Greer, brought along a cup of coffee, a thoughtful gesture to energize him for the long night.
One at a time, the other contestants got out of the limo and tried their various tricks to impress Zach and win his attention, from trumpet players and party busses to a live pig courtesy of Mercedes’ farm roots and an offer from Katherine for Zach to help her apply some sunscreen.
The First Kiss And First Impression Roses
Some of the women Zach fraternized with during the After the Final Rose showed up, including Bailey. However, the bachelor could barely recall her name. Feeling bad for the oversight, the 26-year-old offered her the season’s first kiss to show some chivalry and perhaps make up for it. He admitted the kiss felt right, and he was sure there was some spark there.
With Brianna, the recipient of America’s first impression rose, wrapping up the arrivals, the group proceeded to the cocktail party. Zach openly stated his intentions to the women, saying:

The gesture towards Greer seemed to infuriate Madison, 26, who described his kiss as “subpar” when they locked lips earlier. Between sobs, the business owner admitted she was heartbroken for not receiving the rose. She ended up confronting Zach to know where he stood. Without second thoughts, Zach let her know he did not see a future with her. The 26-year-old broke down as she took the hint, stating, “I can’t believe I gave up my life for him,” as she left the Bachelor Mansion.
He proceeded to hand out roses to the women he wanted on the show, including Charity, Christina, Bailey, Jess, Davia, Genevie, Aly, Brooklyn, Kity, Kylee, Gabi, Anastasia, Cat, Ariel, Mercedes, Kimberly, and Victoria J.
After handing out the roses, Zach Shallcross admitted he felt surrounded by his best friends, with the remaining women in the room, taking a line out of Sean Lowe’s earlier advice.
