Just weeks after announcing his breakup from Susie Evans, The Bachelor alum Clayton Echard has shared his take on venturing into the dating pool again. The reality star, who met his ex-partner on Season 26 of the dating show admitted he was unwilling to put himself out there just yet.

Speaking to HollywooodLife, the icon revealed he planned to keep to himself in the meantime. According to him, he was still experiencing a lot of pain from the breakup as the feelings were still fresh. Going further, Clayton disclosed his intentions to prioritize himself henceforth. For him, prioritizing himself meant focusing on the self-authored book he planned to publish in a few months. Until then,  The Bachelor star planned to focus on the important things, in hopes of improving himself.

The Bachelor Clayton Echard Still Healing Following Susie Evans Split

After disclosing his post-breakup dating plans, Clayton Echard discussed his healing process, and how much getting over Susie Evans has affected his mental health. He divulged:

As part of his healing strategies, the icon turned to family and admittedly spends more quality time with his brother since the breakup. Asked if he planned to return to The Bachelor sometime in the future in his quest for love, Clayton Echard pointed out that he had no plans of returning to TV again. Despite his aversion to the idea, he did not rule it out absolutely, noting that “crazier things have happened!”

Where Do Clayton And Susie Stand Post-Breakup

Clayton Echard also addressed the state of his relationship with his former partner, Susie Evans, making it clear they remained on good terms. According to him, they strive to keep in touch and check in on each other regularly. He also referenced the joint podcast interview they graced earlier this week, as proof of their continued friendship and love for each other.

Despite their resolve to break off their long-distance relationship in September, Echard remained positive that their love may prevail in the end. He said:

Clayton Echard and Susie Evans became an item following his stint on The Bachelor season 26, where the latter emerged as his finalist. At the time, the wedding videographer rejected his proposal, to his disappointment. However, in a surprising twist, viewers discovered they eventually patched things up and geared off their romance during the After the Final Rose special, which aired in March 2022.

After a whirlwind romance that lasted for months, the twosome called it quits, sharing the heartbreaking announcement in a joint Insta post, leaving fans hoping for another twist to reunite the enviable pair.
