Bandai Namco will be releasing a cool looking The Avengers game for the Nintendo 3DS later this year over in Japan. A Western release should hopefully follow.

The game is called “Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes”. Unlike with The Avengers movie franchise, Spider-Man is allowed to be in the team. If Sony Pictures are kind, we would also see him join The Avengers on the big screen too. One can only dream about that until Marvel gets his movie rights back.

Anyway, Spider-Man replaces Hawkeye in this game. As for Black Widow, she gets replaced by Wasp. The other characters are the same like in the movies with Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America all playable in Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes.

This game is based on a Toei Animation series called Marvel Disk Wars. The aforementioned characters are all playable and gamers can swap to play each one of them by simply tapping icons on the touch screen.

The modes in this game include Story Mode, Challenge Mode and a Gallery Mode. Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes has a release date of November 13th over in Japan. Considering how popular The Avengers are worldwide, hopefully Bandai Namco considers a Western release.
