The Broadcast Journalist Will Have His Family’s Life On Screen in a Whole New Way
Long before being a broadcast journalist, he interned for the Central Intelligence Agency while studying political science. Once he graduated from college, he got an entry-level for ABC answering the telephone. He then went on to be a fact-checker for Channel One. He went to the University of Hanoi to study Vietnamese. The broadcast journalist went on to work for ABC and CNN and remained a 60 Minutes correspondent. The book Vanderbilt: The Rise and Fall of an American Dynasty that Anderson Cooper co-authored was published in 2021. It became a New York Times Bestseller. UCP is adapting the book and bringing it to life. Neither Anderson Cooper nor Patrick Macmanus has released details about the script for the UCP series adaptation of Vanderbilt. No doubt Cooper will ensure the facts are right for the series before it begins production.
