It has been confirmed that The Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2 TV anime is currently in production and will air sometime in April 2023. The announcement was made on the anime’s official website following a live stream event, and a new teaser trailer was released to showcase the season along with a new key visual.

 

The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2: What to Expect

The Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2 will pick up right where the previous season left off. Original creator Kore Yamazaki released a series of special illustrations for the series to celebrate the announcement, along with the director of The Ancient Magus’ Bride OAD series, Kazuaki Terasawa, and chief animation director Kohei Tokuoka.

According to the release, the staff for The Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2 will be mostly the same as the previous season:

Studio Kafka to take over the anime production in March 2021, produced the OAD series titled The Ancient Magus’ Bride -The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm in partnership with Twin Engine. Twin Engine hosted the live stream event and interview announcement season 2 and has released two OAD episodes so far. The third is scheduled to be released alongside volume 18 of the series manga in Japan on September 9, 2022.
