The new Zen-4 architecture is optimized for higher performance with the same heating and power-consuming numbers. The latest AMD CPUs use the Zen-3 architecture, which is less optimized than the upcoming technology. It looks like AMD wants to give a reason to the users to switch to the new generation. Of course, this isn’t for all the models we will see in the series. We likely won’t see the price hikes for the entry models. Due to their price, AMD won’t get big profits from their sales, and making people get the new generation will make more money for them in the future.
