The game plays out as a special text-based adventure that you can control with your voice as Alexa narrates your very own adventure through the world of Skyrim. You can use your Thu’um to shout the famous catchphrase “Fus ro dah!” as well, because of course you can. It wouldn’t be a Skyrim game without that ability.

The skill was introduced via a fun skit Bethesda presented during the presentation, recruiting Keegan-Michael Key for its joke, who’s playing through the world of Skyrim utilizing voice commands, much to the chagrin of his wife in some segments. It’s part of the running joke that Skyrim is basically always coming to, well, everything at all time. The bit also jokes that the game is headed to Etch-A-Sketch, Motorola pagers, and Samsung smart refrigerators.

Luckily, Bethesda had other information to share about The Elder Scrolls universe—at the end of the conference, the cat was finally let out of the bag with The Elder Scrolls VI and its own brief teaser trailer. In this, Bethesda made sure to bring the tongue-in-cheek humor where appropriate, but also the real reveals we all wanted to see, which made it one of the highlights of the E3 2018 conferences so far.
